A “Piece” of the Rock? Remember the old Insurance commercial, where the announcer Would say “Get a piece of the rock!”? Sometimes Jesus Is presented that way: He’s offered to people like an insurance Policy… or a ticket to bail us out of hell. That kind of approach To salvation doesn’t just shortchange God; it shortchanges Everyone who is taught to believe that Jesus is just our “fire-escape.” Jesus wants to be our EVERYTHING: Our Savior, Our Friend, our Shelter, our Counselor, our Wisdom, our Strength,and our Peace— here in this life,not someday in Heaven. His longing, His hearts desire is to have a one on one relationship with you, that grows stronger and more blessed Everyday. So don’t settle for a “piece of the Rock”.. You need The whole thing! Tell the Lord you want all of Him, give yourself to Him. Jesus loves you so much!!
